The safety element of the Regional Transportation Authority plan includes the following improvements over the next 20 years:

• 200 intersection improvements
• 80 new and improved pedestrian crossings
• 200 new bus pullouts
• New and improved railroad crossings with 10 over/underpasses
• Traffic signalization and technology improvements
