Seamless transit services are a key element of the 20-year Regional Transportation Authority plan. Mass transit services funded by the RTA include the Sun Link streetcar, Sun Shuttle neighborhood transit and Sun Shuttle dial-a-ride services, plus funding for expanded Sun Tran services.
The RTA identified more than $500 million of mass transit improvements for the 20-year plan period through June 2026. RTA funds have helped to expand the frequency of Sun Tran service and expand evening and weekend services; establish Sun Shuttle neighborhood circulator service with connections to Sun Tran, and establish Sun Shuttle dial-a-ride services.
